Every year our members select three new topics and each year we also spend time reflecting on our previous work, our successes, and how we can improve. This year we will be asking our members to reflect on the Bree Collaborative and would also like to hear from you! Please take a moment to fill out a quick survey: www.surveymonkey.com/r/Bree-Community-Survey-2016. This is your opportunity to give us feedback about how we work and tell us which topics we should address next.
Choosing new topics is always an exciting time for the Bree Collaborative. We will start this conversation at our July 20th meeting and continue with an official vote at our meeting in September. Each year we choose three topics each year where there is:
– Variation that serves no purpose,
– High rates of use or increases in use that are not necessary,
– Waste or inefficiency in care delivery,
– Patient safety issues, or
– Inappropriate care.
We have spent time looking at how to improve a wide variety of health care services, from how we are born to how we spend the end of our life. You can see all of our reports on our website here: www.breecollaborative.org/about/reports/. We are currently working to develop implementation strategies for our previous recommendations and on:
– Bariatric Surgery Bundled Payment Model and Warranty
– Implementing the AMDG Guideline on Prescribing Opioids for Pain
– Behavioral Health Integration
– Pediatric Psychotropic Use
Do you have other comments or feedback? We want to hear from you at our meetings, through email, or through our website here: www.breecollaborative.org/involved/
