Bree Collaborative Reporting Initiative

Beginning January 1st, 2025 the Bree Collaborative is launching a reporting initiative to learn more about the uptake of our guidelines across Washington State and beyond.

Letter of Support for the Bree Collaborative Reporting Initiative

January 1, 2025 The attached letter can be used by any LEGISLATORS OR OTHER STAKEHOLDERS to encourage participation in the Bree Collaborative’s Reporting Initiative in their districts, areas, networks, etc. This letter is addressed to state agencies, health systems, health plans, community health care organizations, and other relevant stakeholders for the Bree Collaborative guidelines, requesting their participation in our reporting initiative by filling out the brief survey further down on this page.

Individuals who wish to show support for this initiative can sign on to this letter anytime between November 15th, 2024 and June 15th 2025. You may also consider sending this letter to your own network, district stakeholders, providers, community organizations, or other interested parties.

ABOUT THE INITIATIVE

Introduction

As part of our evaluation program, the Bree Collaborative has designed a reporting initiative to help us better understand who has adopted our guidelines. Although Bree guidelines are aimed at Washington State, organizations in any state can submit their information.

You can visit our BREE GUIDELINES page to read our reports, find out which “audiences” are included in them, or to find out more information on all of the topics that the Bree has created guidelines on. For complete information on our reporting initiative, check out the video at the bottom of this page.

The result of this reporting initiative will be a map. The map’s aims are to 1) identify gaps in adoption across the state, 2) to provide organizations that have adopted with a resource to develop partnerships in their areas, and 3) to allow patients across Washington State to more easily identify organizations using best practices for our topics. Information about data use and sharing is included in the submission form with an opt-in selection for those who want to report but would not like to be included on our map.

Who should participate?

We are all involved in supporting the health of our community. The unique perspective that the Bree Collaborative brings to health care is using a collaborative model to identify the roles of different organizations in the health care system, whether it’s training a new workforce on best practices, coordinating and integrating care, or providing direct patient care, our guidelines help define the best practices that lead to less variation in care across the state, better outcomes, and better cost to outcomes ratios.

Although Bree guidelines are aimed at the health care ecosystem in Washington State, we welcome participation in this initiative by organizations in other states or countries.

Any organization that identifies as one of the Bree guidelines “audiences” can participate, these may include:

  • Health plans
  • Health Systems, clinics, hospitals, providers, provider groups
  • Behavioral health providers, substance use treatment centers and programs
  • State agencies, departments, and districts (HCA, DOH, DSHS, OSPI, ESDs, ACHs, )
  • Local health jurisdictions (County health departments and health districts)
  • Correctional facilities
  • Employers, self-insured companies, health care purchasers, unions
  • Professional associations
  • Federally Qualified Health Centers
  • Pharmacies
  • Academic training institutions (training health care professionals)
  • Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Who should fill out the form?

  • HR directors or staff
  • Medical Directors
  • Program directors
  • CEO/COO
  • Quality Improvement staff
  • Other staff involved in making decisions about quality improvement and best practices

Benefits of Participation

There are several benefits to participating in this initiative:

  • Let your patients, members, students, community, care partners and legislators know that your organization is using best practices and is dedicated to quality care
  • Find other organizations in the health care ecosystem that are using Bree guidelines to develop partnerships for care coordination or to share information on how you implemented guidelines into your setting.
  • Get support from the Bree Collaborative to create case studies or participate in our webinars to spread the work your organization is doing.
