CRP Screening
CRP Screening is a process that occurs before CRP Certification where organizations have the opportunity to receive real-time feedback of their CRP response to an adverse event from a neutral panel of CRP/patient safety experts. An event can be submitted for CRP Screening at any stage of the CRP process. The purpose of CRP Screening is for organizations navigating the CRP process to receive guidance and support from a diverse panel of CRP experts, affirm that the current CRP response is aligned with the core principles of CRP, and to support applicants in completing the CRP Certification application. Additionally, CRP Screening is available for events that happened in the past but applicants would like to explore how the CRP process could have been used or how the CRP response could have been improved. CRP Certification
Organizations may apply for CRP Certification after the CRP response has completed. The CRP Review Panel will examine the event to either certify the CRP response, certify with contingency, or not certify. Certification can be used to assure regulators that the organization and the care team enacted the necessary steps to met the patient’s needs and prevent the adverse event from recurrence.
